I have shelves full of cookbooks and cabinets full of Gourmet, Bon Appetit, Food & Wine, Saveur and Eating Well back issues, but I can’t resist the allure of recipes I come across on blogs, websites and e-newsletters. I squirrel them away everywhere…my iPhone, iPad and computer all have their own “Recipes” bookmark folder, and I have a Dropbox folder of recipes I’ve saved to PDF…or scanned with my Jotnot app. At least I don’t photocopy recipes anymore (although I still have folders and binders full of those). Yay for going electronic!
Anyhoo, in the interest of both being organized and philanthropic, I’ve reacquainted myself with my somewhat neglected Pinterest account. If I’m going to electronically horde recipes that I think look yummy (most of them score high in nutrition, too), I might as well start consolidating them in one place…and do it publicly. Here are a few recipes that I’ve been pinning (and drooling over) today:
- Lentil, Avocado and Farro Salad
- No-Bake Toasted Coconut, Date and Nut Bars
- Stuck-Pot Rice with Lentils and Yogurt
- Steam-Roasted Carrots with Cumin
- Waffles!
- Hot Cocoa Mix
Finally, it feels appropriate to share an interview with a man who manages New York City’s Kitchen Arts & Letters. He spends his workdays amongst 12,000 cookbooks! It’s like something out of a dream…
Don’t forget that you can follow me on Pinterest!
