Body Kindness researchHello, female readers! I wanted to share some research that my friend and fellow dietitian Rebecca Scritchfield, author of the book Body Kindness, is doing!

If you are pregnant or have a child who is age 5 years or younger (and live in the U.S.) consider participating in the Body Kindness Reader Survey: Exploring the Experiences of Pregnant and Postpartum Women study. Rebecca is conducting it in collaboration with the MIND-BATCH lab at the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.

If you have already read Body Kindness, you are invited to participate in this research study on body image healing by completing an online survey. If you haven’t read Body Kindness, you can download a free eBook and then take the online survey once you are done reading the book.

For full details, see the research page on Rebecca’s website.

What if you are neither pregnant nor the mother of a small child, so not eligible to participate in the Body Kindness research, I highly recommend reading the book, nonetheless! I’ve recommended it to many of my patients, and have received great feedback. If you didn’t happen to read the book review-slash-interview I did last year for The Seattle Times, you can read it here.
